CrossRoads Pub was founded in 2004 by a Dutchman (John) and 3 Singaporeans (Rina, Charles and Zie). After 3 1/2 years in Darmawangsa Square the Pub relocated to Kemang in September of 2007.
CrossRoads stands apart from other bars frequented by the expatriate community of Jakarta. When one enters the pub, there is a warm sense of homeliness that harkens to the pubs of Australia and Europe and many have come to call CrossRoads their ‘local watering hole’.
Charles, a practicing gourmet chef from Singapore is proud of his distinctly Singapore flavored menu. “It is indeed true that this is the ONLY place in Jakarta where you will find real Singapore Laksa – I grew up on the stuff.” Although not on the standard menu, Singapore-style Pepper Crab and Chili Crab are also a rare treat that can be had in CrossRoads. Order at least 1 day in advance because we only serve fresh crab.
Crabs have also given CrossRoads another reputation. We are not referring to the eating kind of crabs mentioned earlier, nor the type one may encounter in Blok M. We are referring to the four teams that play in the Jakarta Expatriate and International Pool Leagues ; The Chili Crabs, Pepper Crabs, Itchy Crabs and King Crabs. Over the past years these teams have proved themselves as the hard-ball teams to beat in the comp. ………
So if you are looking for a place to quench your thirst, play some pool (or darts) or just make new friends make your way to Jln. Taman Kemang No. 29 and pay us a visit.
